Beyonce Gushes Over Blue Ivy in Video While Recording Mufasa: The Lion King

Tweleve-year-old Blue Ivy Carter is hitting a media tour for her debut voice acting in the upcoming Disney film Mufasa: The Lion King.  The film will be released on Friday December 2024 in theatres worldwide but Blue Ivy and her mother, who is also returning as Nala in the film, are already making the rounds to promote the animated movie.

The mother-dauther duo gave Good Morning America an exclusive interview and behind the scenes look into recording their parts in the upcoming film.  In the interview you’ll see Beyonce gushing with pride of her daughter like any other mother would.  Blue Ivy expressed her gratitude and excitement for the film.

It’s just a really amazing experience and I feel like that everybody that’s a part of this is so helpful and so supportive.  The director Barry is a really sweet person and he tells me ways I can improve my lines.  And he’s very supportive of me and tells me in the nicest way possible.  And I feel like so does everybody else.  And I feel like this is just a great experience for me.  And I’m really happy for girls that look like me and all around the world are able to watch this movie and hear and see themselves in it.

In the film Blue Ivy will play the role of Kiara, a smart and thoughtful cub left in the care of Rafiki.  Other celebs making an appearance in the film include Aaron Pierre, Donald Glover, Seth Rogan, Anika Noni Rose, and many more.  See the full trailer below.
