Missing You – Netflix

Missing You

Based on the Harlan Coben book, Missing You is a UK thriller throws us right into Detective Kat Donovan’s messy life. We get flashbacks of her happy engagement (before her fiancé vanished), plus the trauma of her detective dad’s murder. Now, she’s working two missing persons cases, digging for answers about her dad’s death, her friends are hiding stuff, and her career is on the line. Honestly, I was entertained because it wasn’t super predictable, which is always a win. With only 5 episodes, I was able to watch it in two days and it kept me on the hook enough to continue to the shocking ending—no spoilersAlexis Felder

Shrinking – Apple TV+

Shrinking

Shrinking is about a grieving (portrayed by Jason Segel) who throws ethics and decorum out the window as he tries to get the lives of his patients in order, while doing a suspect of getting his own ish together. What’s not to love? Actually, we’re digging the multicultural milieu of characters who are not only hilarious. but endearing, too. Check for fellow therapist Gabrielle “Gaby” Evans (Jessica Williams) and patient Sean (Luke Tennie). Two seasons in and a third is on the way after a late 2024 renewal On and Han Solo aka Harrison Ford is down, too.—Alvin aqua Blanco
