DDG Accuses Halle Bailey of Keeping Him From Their Son Halo

DDG has publicly claimed that Halle Bailey is keeping him from consistently seeing their 15-month-old son, Halo. In a vlog titled “She Won’t Let Me See My Son..” posted on March 7, the rapper and YouTuber expressed frustration over their co-parenting situation, revealing that he feels like a “secondary parent” with little control over when he can spend time with his child.

DDG and Bailey ended their relationship in October 2023, shortly before the birth of their son in December. While they initially appeared to be co-parenting peacefully, tensions escalated after Halo briefly appeared on a Kai Cenat livestream, which Bailey later apologized for disapproving of publicly. However, DDG’s latest claims suggest their issues have been ongoing.

“I just want to be able to see my son when I want to see my son,” DDG said in the vlog. “I don’t care if this makes me look childish or crazy—I don’t care what anybody thinks. I just want to be in my son’s life.” He also claimed he’s being “bullied” as the non-primary parent and that despite making efforts to see Halo, his time with him is minimal.

He explained that his recent social media activity, including streaming with other women, is simply a distraction from his inability to “be a dad” when he wants. “I don’t care about hanging around girls. I want to be around my son, you feel me?” he said. “But since I can’t, I’m obviously going to work. I’m not going to sit in the crib and cry about it.”

DDG alleged that even when he drives hours to see Halo, he is often turned away. “I don’t get the chance to comfort him. I get pinned against the wall, and then there’s always another excuse for why I can’t see my son.” He also suggested that the issue has been going on since Halo’s birth but admitted to only now speaking out after exhausting all other options.

Despite acknowledging that he and Bailey have been apart for a long time, DDG said he doesn’t understand why he isn’t granted more time with Halo. He claimed he has never been able to care for him alone for more than 72 hours and that Bailey has full control over travel decisions involving their son. “If she wants to leave the country, I don’t get a say. I can’t say one word because she tells me she’s the primary parent. It’s not cool, bro.”

DDG also addressed criticism that he is being unfair to Bailey, arguing that their co-parenting dynamic is “foul.” “I have inspired dads across the world to want to be in their kid’s life. Why make it harder for me?” he said. He further claimed Bailey maintains a “golden image” while he is painted negatively in their situation.

Expressing deep frustration, DDG insisted that his only concern is Halo’s well-being. “I don’t care who she’s with or what she’s doing. I care about my son. And she knows that’s the only way to get under my skin.” He ended by recalling his involvement in Halo’s birth and arguing that he should have equal parental rights. “I was there the whole process. I should have just as much say so as possible. It’s not cool, bro.”
