This Sunday, Aug. 11, H.E.R. takes her talents to the Stade de France. This momentous occasion marks another milestone in H.E.R.’s already illustrious career, as she lends her powerful voice to a global audience, bridging the gap between Paris and Los Angeles as the Olympic torch passes to the City of Angels.
At just 27 years old, H.E.R. is a California native who has become a household name in the music industry, known for her soulful voice and profound lyrics. She’s just one award away from achieving EGOT status, which is a rare and prestigious accomplishment several multifaceted artists dream of reaching. H.E.R.’s accolades include a Grammy Award for Song of the Year in 2021 for “I Can’t Breathe,” an Academy Award for Best Original Song for “Fight for You” from Judas and the Black Messiah, and she recently starred in the 2023 adaptation of The Color Purple, produced by Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg. Her dynamic career also saw her take the stage at the 2024 Super Bowl LVIII halftime show alongside Usher, further cementing her status as a global superstar.
Alongside her performance announcement, H.E.R. has been honored with a custom LA28 emblem, designed in celebration of the upcoming Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. The emblem, like those before it, captures the essence of Los Angeles—a city known for its creativity, diversity, and vibrant culture. Since its launch in 2020, the LA28 emblem campaign has featured numerous designs, each telling the stories of Angelenos, athletes, artists, and activists. H.E.R.’s emblem, inspired by her own journey and the spirit of Los Angeles, will join this evolving collection as the city prepares to host the world in 2028.
