Season 7 of Netflix’s dystopian sci-fi series Black Mirror is going to be Black as f**k.

Netflix’s popular series Black Mirror from co-showrunner Charlie Brooker is returning for a seventh season, and when it does, it will boast some serious Black star power.

Joining the cast will be Issa Rae (Insecure), Tracee Ellis Ross (black-ish), and Rashida Jones (BlackAF). Netflix remains tight-lipped on specific details about season seven, including episode titles and character names.

The complete list of names joining season 7 of Black Mirror includes Awkwafina, Milanka Brooks, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, Patsy Ferran, Paul Giamatti, Lewis Gribben, Osy Ikhile, Rashida Jones, Siena Kelly, Billy Magnussen, Rosy McEwen, Cristin Milioti, Chris O’Dowd, Issa Rae, Paul G. Raymond, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jimmi Simpson and Harriet Walter.

Tudum, Netflix’s blog, does note that fans of the series can look forward to a sequel to Season 4’s popular episode, “U.S.S. Callister.”

Per Tudum:

“You can expect a mix of genres and styles,” Brooker told the amped-up audiences of Geeked Week. “We’ve got six episodes this time, and two of them are basically feature-length. Some of them are deeply unpleasant, some are quite funny, and some are emotional.”

Brooker said the season has gone “back to basics.”

“We have evolved to a place where it’s kind of OG Black Mirror this season,” he said. “So it’s all sci-fi, techno-dystopia.”

Brooker and the Black Mirror creative team aren’t giving away any specific spoilers, but they are teasing one major nugget of information: One of the episodes will be a sequel to the now-classic Season 4 opener, “USS Callister.”

“Fans of the show will recognize the cast of a certain spaceship from one of our episodes reappearing,” Brooker said. “We’ve done a sequel for the first time in Black Mirror history. Normally, I kill off all the characters at the end of a episode, and I kept some of ’em alive. I’m growing as a human.”

No release date for the show has been announced, but the series will likely return in 2025.
