The highly anticipated trailer for Netflix’s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story has finally been released. Click inside to check it out!

Following the massive success of DAHMER, Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s true-crime anthology series returns with Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, chronicling the case of the real-life brothers who were convicted in 1996 for the murders of their parents, José and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez.

While the prosecution argued that they were seeking to inherit their family fortune, the brothers claimed (and remain adamant to this day, as they serve life sentences without the possibility of parole) that their actions stemmed out of fear from a lifetime of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse at the hands of their parents.

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story dives into the historic case that took the world by storm, paved the way for audiences’ modern-day fascination with true crime, and in return asks those audiences: Who are the real monsters?

Cooper Koch (Erik Menendez), Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Lyle Menendez) star as Erik and Lyle Menendez, respectively. Other series regulars include Javier Bardem as José Menendez, Chloë Sevigny as Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez, Nathan Lane as Dominick Dunne, Ari Graynor as Leslie Abramson.

The series was written by Ryan Murphy, David McMillan, Todd Kubrak, Ian Brennan, and Reilly Smith. Brennan, Max Winkler, Paris Barclay, Michael Uppendahl and Carl Franklin all directed episodes. Alexis Martin Woodall (DAHMER, American Horror Story, Feud), Eric Kovtun (DAHMER, The Watcher, Ratched), McMillan (DAHMER), Louise Shore (Lessons in Chemistry, American Crime Story), and Franklin (DAHMER, Good Behavior) serve as executive producers alongside series creators Murphy and Brennan.

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story will launch on Netflix on September 19th. While you wait, check out the series’ official trailer and some first look photos below! Share your thoughts in the comment section.
