Jordyn Woods is over it. The model and entrepreneur addressed online criticism about her body in a January 8 TikTok, where she opened up about her recent life changes and the pressures of public commentary.
After attending a recent basketball game, Jordyn noticed videos online critiquing her weight. Instead of letting it slide, the vocal beauty set the record straight.
And she did it with grace and a face card that never declines.
The “Woods By Jordyn” owner spoke candidly about how her weight has fluctuated since childhood and the effort she puts into maintaining her body. “I’ve been bullied about my weight since I was 12 years old,” Jordyn said. “My weight fluctuates so much. I’m the type that has to work super hard for the body that I want.”
Jordyn shared that she recently moved across the country, stayed in a hotel for a while, and is now settling into a new routine. She admitted she didn’t think her outfit at the previous NBA game “was [her] best fit.”
Still, none of that gave anyone the right to comment on her body. Further, Jordyn doesn’t have to explain her appearance or style choices to anyone.
Jordyn reminded us that no one knows what someone else might be going through—and again, it’s not anyone’s business.
@jordynwoods Anyways there’s a lot more important things going on in the world, just wanted to share this thought.

Jordyn is focusing on herself and the things that bring her joy—like cooking in her new kitchen and getting back into routines that make her happy. Despite the noise, she continues thriving as a model, influencer, and entrepreneur, balancing her career, personal growth, and relationship with NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns.
Her message is clear: women deserve empathy and respect, regardless of their size or circumstances. “Maybe we don’t always have to comment on somebody’s body,” she said.
She’s right. More than anyone, Black women understand the struggle of navigating societal expectations while staying true to ourselves. Jordyn is that girl—always has been, always will be.
So, let’s give Jordyn her flowers. She’s a baddie, a boss, and an inspiration. As she tells her TikTok followers, “Let’s just try to be kinder.”
