Hospitality is an art form—for Aisha Steele, it’s also a lifestyle. As the founder of The Aisha Life, she does event planning, catering, event design, and more—infusing every gathering with her signature intention, connection, and joy. Steele sat down with host Nancy Redd on the latest episode of the Mompreneurs podcast to talk about pivoting from a low point to building her dream life, letting her gifts shine, and finding purpose in service and connection.

Steele built The Aisha Life around her many talents—from creating scrumptious grazing tables, to sharing her love of cooking and dance to students of all ages. Overall, she curates unforgettable experiences that cater to every detail.

“What could I see myself doing even if I didn’t get paid for it?”

A turning point that led her to The Aisha Life came with being laid off and separating from her children’s father. It was her chance to pivot and reflect on what truly fulfilled her—her kids, her community, and the joy of bringing people together. “It was like, I got the severance package, I have this house I’m trying to keep—what can I do to make all of that come to fruition? The things that I love—focusing on my kids, my community, and giving back,” Steele said.

The Aisha Life was born, and continues to thrive to this day. “It truly is a beautiful time in my life,” said the mompreneur. “I’ve never worked harder. I’ve never been more tired. But I’ve also never been more fulfilled in living in the plan that God has made for me.”
