Megan Thee Stallion has had a relatively young career in the music industry, and already she’s gone through enough over the last few years that a documentary about her life seems warranted at this point.

Luckily, for her fans, that’s exactly what they’re going to be getting as Variety is reporting that Amazon Prime is gearing up for the release of Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Own Words. From going through a messy relationship to a wild beef with Nicki Minaj that led to having a cemetery asking for extra security to keep her mother’s grave from being vandalized to getting shot by Tory Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion has been through a soap opera of a life ever since becoming a music star. Now, her day ones will be getting an inside look at how these things affected Megan on a personal level and how she’s been coping with said setbacks behind the scenes.

Per Variety:

A synopsis of the film — directed by Emmy winner Nneka Onuorah (“Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls”) for TIME Studios, Roc Nation and Nneka Productions — reads: “Follow the Houston native’s journey on the road to stardom as she tenaciously navigates fame, grief, pressure and success. The documentary unpacks Megan’s most vulnerable moments in a powerful way that allows fans to meet the real Megan Pete.”

“I feel so honored to work with Amazon MGM Studios, Roc Nation, and TIME Studios to share Megan’s story,” stated Onuorah. “Her raw and beautiful spirit really shines through in the film. She is a champion for all women who deserve their truth to be heard.”

We don’t expect Nicki Minaj or her Barbz to tune in, but best believe many in the culture will be checking out In Her Own Words when it premiers on Amazon Prime Oct. 31.

We just wonder if any of her rap peers like Cardi B or even Beyoncé will be interviewed for the documentary. Well, probably not Beyoncé, but Cardi B might be a possibility.
