Oprah Winfrey made a unexpected appearance at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago – and we are still gagging. Dressed in a striking purple power suit from Christian Siriano, Oprah exuded confidence, elegance, and royalty as only Mother Oprah can.

There to support the first-ever Black woman presidential candidate – during her first-ever DNC stage appearance – Oprah’s moment underscored the importance of the upcoming election and Vice President Kamala Harris‘ growing legacy.

“We’re now so fired up, we can’t wait to leave here and do something, and what we’re gonna do is elect Kamala Harris as the next president of the United States,” Oprah told the excited crowd.

The media mogul’s connection and the color purple go together real bad. In 2022 and 2023, Oprah frequently slayed in the royal hue, promoting her film, The Color Purple, while embodying its essence and significance.
