Leave it to Rihanna to slay – and remind us of our power.

In honor of International Women’s Day (IWD), Rihanna shared intimate photos of herself after giving birth to her two sons Riot Rose and RZA. Looking adoringly at her then babies in both images, the “Umbrella” singer showcased raw strength, beauty, and resilience.

Rihanna Celebrates International Women’s Day, Reminds Fans She Gave Birth In Pearls & Sunglasses

“By far the most powerful thing I’ve ever done as a woman…my little miracles! #International Womens Day,” Ri Ri wrote on Instagram.

But in true Rihanna fashion, her post – and new mommy moment – had her signature twist. The Bajan queen didn’t just deliver babies, but she delivered style. She rocked pink shades in one picture, in another, a stacked pearl necklace and a gold medallion.

Ri Ri added to her IWD post: “And yes, I gave birth in pearls and sunglasses… don’t ask, a lot was happening.”

Everyone knows that Rihanna reshaped maternity fashion, throwing out traditional norms and replacing them with bold style, unapologetic looks, and unforgettable bump moments.

She made it clear that women don’t have to shrink themselves or dim their light to embrace motherhood. In the same way she carried her pregnancies with confidence and style, she continues to show that womanhood.

Rihanna continues to remind us that no matter who we are or where we are, Black women are fearless (and fly). Period.

International Women’s Day: Black Women Define Strength, Style, and Culture

We don’t just walk into rooms – we clear them. From how we style our hair to the trends we start, we are the culture’s heartbeat. We have always been the blueprint—turning moments into art, breaking barriers, and doing it all with undeniable style.

In beauty, icons like Pat McGrath, Danessa Myricks, and Sheika Daley have transformed the industry, proving that melanin deserves luxury and representation. Black beauty entrepreneurs like Rihanna (Fenty Beauty),Serena Williams (Wyn Beauty), Tracee Ellis Ross (Pattern), and Jackie Aina (FORVR Mood) are making sure we have products designed for us, by us.

Natural hair slayers and shapeshifters like Chloeand Halle Bailey, H.E.R., and Angie Stone have taught us how to embrace our curly crowns. At the same time, femcees like Cardi B, Kash Doll, GloRilla, and Megan The Stallion have taught us the versatility of a good lacefront and a buss-down middle part.

Designers like Diotima, Fe Noel, Tia Adeola, and Samantha Black are shaping what’s next in fashion. Supermodels like Naomi Campbell, Iman, Precious Lee, and Adut Akech have redefined global beauty standards. At the same time, style icons like Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, Keke Palmer, Teyana Taylor, and Gabrielle Union prove that fashion is more than clothes—it’s a statement.

We know that Black women have always been the legends, the icons, and the moments. But on IWD, we give our Sisters their flowers. Here’s to every Black woman making a difference—especially those unnoticed.

Whether a style slayer, boss babe, influential creator, community leader, mom, sister, aunt, or best friend, we celebrate you. Sis, you are seen, you are valued, and you are loved.
