This week (December 4th), Netflix released first look photos and announced the premiere date for the second and final season of Mo. Continue reading to find out when you can expect to see the show back on your screen.

Mo Najjar straddles the line between two cultures, three languages and a ton of bullshit as a Palestinian on the path to U.S. citizenship. Season 2 finds Mo stranded across the border and desperate to get back to Houston before his family’s asylum hearing – but as a stateless refugee without a passport, he’s gonna need all the hustle and charm he can muster. Little does he know that the journey home is just the start of his troubles, and there’s a new guy in town ready to steal both his longtime love Maria and his falafel taco recipe.

Netflix’s award-winning series stars Mohammed “Mo” Amer (Black Adam, Mohammed in Texas), who created the show with Ramy Youssef (Poor Things, Ramy). The show also stars Teresa Ruiz (Narcos: Mexico), Farah Bsieso, Omar Elba (A Hologram for the King), Tobe Nwigwe, Simon Rex (What I Like About You, Scary Movie franchise, National Lampoon’s Pledge This!) and Johanna Braddy (The Grudge 3, Paranormal Activity 3, Quantico).

Speaking on the show’s upcoming season, Amer said “I’m thankful to continue to tell a universal story of struggle that relates to so many refugees and millions of under-represented humans trying to be seen around the globe and to be able to bring the people who loved and rooted for Mo Najjar along for the ride as we close this chapter of his story.”

On top of starring in the show, Amer also serves as director and an executive producer alongside Solvan “Slick” Naim (Power, It’s Bruno!). Other executive producers include Harris Danow (Daisy Jones & The Six, Dead to Me), Jacqui Rivera, and Azhar Usman. The A24 produced series will return to Netflix on January 30th, 2025. Similar to the first season, season two will consist of eight episodes. While we wait for the official trailer (or even a teaser trailer for that matter) for Mo‘s second season to be released, check out some first look photos from the hilarious series below!
