We’re only a few days into 2025, and bonnets are again making headlines thanks to the Pour Minds podcast. Beauty mogul Supa Cent was a guest on the show alongside hosts Drea Nicole and Lex P when the conversation landed on a popular topic. Supacent asked, “What ghetto mean to you?” She continued, “Tell me something you see and be like, b*tch that’s ghetto.” Insert bonnets.
Immediately, one of the hosts Drea responds, “I got one… a bonnet.” To clarify, she is referring to wearing a bonnet in a public place like the airport. Supacent is taken aback by her response. “Really?” she said.
While Supa didn’t necessarily agree with her co-host’s assessment on bonnets, she voiced her opinion on ghetto attire in front of children. “If I could see parts of your body only your n*gga should see Around children, it’s ghetto.”
The clip has garnered mixed reactions from listeners who either agree or disagree with the Crayon Case founder and hosts. One fan wrote, “A BONNET out in the wild, is ghetto af! Argue with ya mammy!!!” What say you, do you consider bonnets and barely-there attire in public ghetto?
If you’re a Supa Cent follower, you know she grew to Internet popularity thanks to her oratory skills a.k.a, she told the best stories. During the podcast, the boss babe revealed the corniest thing she did in a relationship, which involved her hiding in the bushes. Supa says she crashed out and was spying on her ex from the shrubbery when she saw him pull up with another woman and give her a kiss. She managed to hold it together and not scare the old beau. But her feelings were immensely hurt. Clearly, it’s working out for Supa so this just made for another great story.
