Up The Mountain: Taraji P. Henson, Tasha Smith & Sharon Leal React To Spicy Marriage Scenarios

If you remember the first “Why Did I Get Married?” movie, then you already know the top of the mountain is not exactly where you want your marriage to end up.

In Tyler Perry’s 2007 classic, Jill Scott’s character, Sheila infamously made the now-iconic trek up a snowy mountain to confront the state of her marriage to Mike, after he forced her off the plane and made her drive instead, while he sat cozied up next to her “friend.” Still, Sheila was willing to go the distance, literally, for a relationship that had already fallen apart.

So when the rest of the ladies of the “Why Did I Get Married” franchise, Sharon Leal, Taraji P. Henson and Tasha Smith, sat down with HelloBeautiful to play a little marriage game of their own, we had to ask the question: Would you go up the mountain to save your marriage?

We put the ladies through a series of hypothetical relationship scenarios (many based on happenings in the film), designed to test just how much marriage madness they were willing to tolerate. And let’s just say, the tea was piping hot in that interview room!

Would you stay if your spouse had a secret second phone? What if they told their entire friend group all your intimate business? What if they cheated—more than once—but promised it would never happen again?

Where do these ladies draw the line? Without giving away any of their answers, let’s just say nobody was peacefully riding up that mountain!
