A circulating TikTok trend is reaffirming that black girls really are magic!

Have you heard of the “black wife effect?” While the term is new, the results are not.

At its core, the black wife effect describes the influence and transformative ability that black women have over their partners—specifically when the spouse is of a different race or ethnicity. The benefits of a black woman’s deep, tender love and innate nurturing ability, especially amongst interracial couples, have been highlighted with this new social media craze. Side effects of white men finding love with black women have been known to include increased swag, confidence, and cultural awareness.
